Best Literature relating back to modern day

Hi everyone! I am trying to become more well-versed in certain historical perspectives that relate back to modern day life, politics, etc. I know some examples are “1984” by George Orwell, “Pride and Prejudice,” and “The Great Gatsby.”

Are there any books you all would recommend that relate back to current politics or have very valuable moral takeaways?

I am open to both sides of the political spectrum.
