Am I wrong for not letting my boy stay on iPad for hours?

My kid keeps asking, I keep refusing. I explained in everyway possible but he claims I am keeping him away from the world, disconnecting him from the world. The dude legit thinks he is connected to the world through the brainrot instagram reels.

How do I convince him that this is addictive. That the social media is an attention farm, they milk attention from viewers as if milking a cow.

How can he be connected in better ways?

Suggest some better ways so that I can just show him those ways at our next convo and prove that I'm not wrong.
