Am I crazy for trying to flip our family's lives

My dad’s house is worth around $400K, and I’ve been urging him to sell it to start a car dealership. He’s worked the same job since we immigrated, planning to retire there, but he’s been stressed his whole life. He says he’ll pass the house down, but we’d sell it anyway—so why wait? We could take the risk now and build something together, doubling our family’s net worth instead of just relying on retirement.
